The Plant Family's Story

The Plant Family – consisting of Lynsey and Nigel and their two children Faye, aged 3, and Lauren, aged 10 - recently moved into a four-bedroom Whorlton home at The Oaks in Sowerby, near Thirsk.

The family had been living in the North East but were looking for a home in North Yorkshire, which would make Nigel’s daily work commute easier.

Lynsey explained: “We knew and liked the Thirsk area so when we searched for new homes we found out about Mulberry Homes and its new development in Sowerby.

"We visited the development and we liked the look of the Whorlton. It was bigger than the home we were moving from and it was ready to move into, so it fitted the bill perfectly.

"The house itself is lovely. It’s spacious, light and airy and the fixture and fittings are of a very high standard.

"Even though we moved in the summer we can’t believe how warm the house is. It retains the heat so well, which we think will be great in the winter.

"The location of the development was also a big selling point for us. We wanted somewhere with a rural feel and to pick an area that was safe for the girls, and that certainly is the case here. We are minutes away from the countryside and the lovely town centre of Thirsk, and Faye and Lauren’s new schools are just a walk away, which is ideal. It is also great for Nigel because his commute is now much easier and he is home every night, which is fantastic.

"We couldn’t be happier.”
